On 16th of April, students of semester 4th and 2nd of Govt. Degree College Marheen organized a farewell party to the outgoing class of semester 6th with great enthusiasm. The day was a fiesta fully devoted to the days spent together with teachers and friends. The programme commenced with the welcome address by the Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta who applauded the batch as one of the brightest batches. She appreciated their efforts of semester 4th for organizing the event and also expressed her thoughts calling the moment as bitter sweet. She also wished them luck to make a mark in their future endeavors.

On the occasion, various cultural items were performed by the students of semester 6th along with different competitions such as musical chair, inflate the balloons, pick the chit game, ramp walk etc which enabled the students of semester 4th to choose Mr. and Ms. GDC Marheen. Moreover, Ms. Kanika and Mr. Dharamveer of semester 6th were selected as Mr. and Ms. GDC Marheen.

The whole event was managed by Dr. Arun Dev Singh (Convener, Student Welfare Committee), Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Anoop Sharma, Dr. Munisha Devi, Dr. Shallu Rani and Prof. Manu Saini. Other faculty members presented were Dr. Reemi Verma, Dr. Preeti Khajuria, Prof. Charan, Dr. Sneh Devi and Dr. Sonia.
