Sports Department of GDC Marheen in collaboration with SDRF and Civil Defense organized Five Day Civil Defense Training Programme in the college. In the series of activities, 1st day was carried with essential lifesaving skills, on 2nd day a lecture was delivered on First Aid procedure, on 3rd day they focused on First Aid techniques especially CPR and choking incidents, on 4th day, a lecture was delivered on management of snake bites and 5th day was concluded with the valedictory function featured a comprehensive lecture delivered by experts from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Civil Defense. The session focused on First Aid techniques, with special emphasis on fire safety and management. The experts elaborated on various strategies for handling different fire-related emergencies and highlighted the importance of emergency contact number 102. A detailed explanation of the types of fire extinguishers was provided, followed by a practical demonstration, during which students were also given the opportunity to participate in hands-on training. The day's activities concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Balbinder Singh, Physical Director, who acknowledged the valuable contributions of the expert trainers and commended the enthusiastic participation of the students. The session was further enriched by the presence of esteemed faculty members, including Prof. Sandeep Chaudhary, Dr. Arun Dev Singh, Dr. Munisha Devi, Dr. Shallu Rani, Prof. Manu Saini, Dr. Rimmi Verma, and Dr. Preeti Khajuria.
