The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of GDC,Marheen organized Storytelling and Books Distribution Programme in the celebration of International Literacy Day on 11-09-2025.The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr Arun Dev Singh ,NSS Prgramme Officer,who emphasized the critical role of literacy in shaping inclusive and resilient communities. Prof (Dr) Anupama Gupta,esteemed Principal of the college was chief guest on this occasion, in her keynote speech, she addressed the NSS volunteers and,the students . She also highlighted the transformative power of education and encouraged students to become ambassadors of literacy in their localities. On this occasion, the storytelling activity was conducted in which the volunteers and students actively participated and focused on motivating students and adults to pursue literacy and lifelong learning. The entire programme was conducted under the benign supervision of Prof (Dr) Anupama Gupta,esteemed ,Principal of the college. The event was managed by Dr Arun Dev Singh, NSS , Programme Officer, Dr Balbinder Singh and Dr Shallu Rani. The Programme was anchored by Ms. Kanika, and Neha Chib, NSS Volunteers. Dr Shallu presented Vote of thanks. The other faculty members who graced the occasion: Prof Manu Saini, Dr Reemi Verma,Dr Sneh and Dr Priti Khajuria.
